On Friday's AOA, we returned to the studio from the Farm Progress Show and took a look at some of the headlines we missed throughout the week in Segment One. Then in Segment Two, we talk with author and political expert Dr. John Hulsman, about the current state of geo-politics heading into the month of September. In Segment Three, NCBA's Chief Counsel Mary-Thomas Hart joined the show for an update on the EPA's revised WOTUS rule announced earlier this week. Then in Segment Four, we listen to a conversation Jesse had during the Farm Progress Show with National Farmers Union President Rob Larew and NFU Vice President Jeff Kippley.

AOA Thursday 8-31-2023

On Thursday's AOA, we wrap up the Farm Progress Show with our friends at Trelleborg. Chris Neidert, Trelleborg Marketing, Training and Development Manager, joins us to discuss some of original equipment (OE) side of Trelleborg and seeing their products on a lot of equipment. In Segment Two, we talk high oleic soybeans with United Soybean Board VP of Marketing, John Jansen. In Segment Three, we talk with Trelleborg Marketing Advisor Jeff Miller as he discusses some of Trelleborg's role in the tractor pulling industry and more. Then in Segment Four, Chris Neidert from Trelleborg returns to wrap up the 2023 Farm Progress Show.

On Wednesday's AOA, we continue our coverage from the Farm Progress Show 2023 with our friends at Trelleborg. In Segment One, we talk tires with Trelleborg Marketing, Training and Development Manager Chris Neidert. Then in Segment Two, we take a look at the markets with Jacob Burks from AgMarket.net. In Segment Three, we get back to the tire conversation with Chris Neidert from Trelleborg and then in Segment Four we are joined by Trelleborg North American Commercial Director, Andrea Masella, to discuss the tire market as a whole.

On Tuesday's AOA, we broadcast live from the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, IL with our friends at Trelleborg TWS. We learn about their exciting new acquisition by Yokohama with Chris Neidert, Marketing Training and Development Manager with Trelleborg. In Segment Two, we talk with Greg Payne from Trelleborg about their large OE presence. In Segment Three, we talk about tire maintenance, load capacity and much more with Norberto Huebener from Trelleborg. Then finally in Segment Four, we catch up with Farm Progress Show Manager Matt Jungmann about what is new and exciting at the show.

AOA Monday 8-28-23

On Monday's AOA, we start the show with the latest news about potato wart issues on Prince Edward Island and more with National Potato Council CEO Kam Quarles. In Segment Two, we get up to speed on any transportation issues heading to harvest, Farm Bill, trade priorities, harvest safety week and more with National Grain and Feed Association President and CEO Mike Seyfert. Then in Segment Three, we get perspective on the EATS Act from one of the legislation's opponents as Competitive Markets Action President Marty Irby joins the show. Finally in Segment Four, we hear from former Secretary of Agriculture in the Clinton Administration, Dan Glickman, about his recent op-ed raising the alarm on states' efforts to undermine EPA's authority on pesticide labeling.

In Segment Two, we discuss the ag equipment market and some of the latest trends with Casey Seymour from Moving Iron LLC. In Segment Three, American Farmland Trust Deputy Policy Director, Andrew Bahrenburg, joins the show for an update on AFT's Farm Bill priorities and other legislation they are watching on Capitol Hill. Then finally to end the show, we talked with the newly crowned 70th Princess Kay of the Milky Way, Emma Kuball, while she is at the Minnesota State Fair.

Thursday on AOA, we start the show with an update on the markets with hot weather impacts this week, demand issues continuing and more as we're joined by Naomi Blohm from Total Farm Marketing. In Segment Two, President and CEO of the U.S. Apple Association Jim Bair joins the show to discuss India's tariff on apples from the U.S. as well as ag labor and more. In Segment Three, NCBA Chief Counsel Mary-Thomas Hart joins us with an update on WOTUS, the EATS Act/Prop 12, EPA petitions and more. Then in Segment Four, we get a final update on preparations for next week's Farm Progress Show with show manager Matt Jungmann.

On Wednesday's AOA, we kicked off the program talking ag labor issues and the Farm Bill with National Council of Farmer Cooperatives President and CEO, Chuck Conner. In Segment Two, we have a conversation about supply chains, logistics and where things stand currently with Dr. Jason Miller from Michigan State University. Then in Segment Three, we turn our attention to the grain markets and the expansion of soy crush capacity with Ed Usset from University of Minnesota Extension. Finally in Segment Four, we discuss the latest Milk Production Report and the dairy markets overall with Alyssa Badger, Vice President, Global Operations & Insights for Highground Dairy.

On Tuesday's AOA, we start the show with a recap of the latest Cattle on Feed report and the impact on the cattle market with Chris Swift from Swift Trading Company. In Segment Two, we dive into India's rice export ban and how it affects global markets and trade with Tanner Ehmke, Lead Grains and Oilseeds Economist at CoBank. In Segment Three, we get an update on a lawsuit by Kansas agricultural producers, and the Kansas Natural Resource Coalition (KNRC) against the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to block Endangered Species Act protective regulations for the lesser prairie-chicken with Charles Yates, attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation. Finally in Segment Four, we learn more about SoyConnext happening this week in New York City with Patrick O'Leary, Chair of the Northern Soy Marketing board.
