On today’s AOA, we kicked off the show with a few thoughts on the market trade ahead of Friday’s August WASDE Report with Jim McCormick from AgMarket.net. In Segment Three, we had a conversation with Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and got updates on the Farm Bill, cattle market reform legislation, payment caps and more. On Monday's AOA, we kick off the show with a look at the markets and the on-going volatility with Darin Newsom, Senior Market Analyst at Barchart in Segment One. Then in Segment Two, we saw a lot of heavy rain across parts of the Corn Belt this weekend. John Baranick from DTN joins us with an update on the rain and the weather forecast for the week ahead. In Segment Three, we talk about the overall state of the ag and rural economy with Michael Doherty. He's formerly with USDA Rural Development and Illinois Farm Bureau and he's currently a consultant with Decision Innovations Solutions in Central Illinois. Then in Segment Four, we learn more about the new USDA farm loan application process for farmers who have faced discrimination with Myles Caggins, spokesman for the program from Windsor Group.

On today's AOA, we get an update on preparations for the 2023 Farm Progress Show with show manager Matt Jungmann in Segment One. In Segment Two, we connect with the chair of the United Soybean Board Meagan Kaiser about their recent setting of the FY24 budget. In Segment Three, we get an update on the Farm Bill, passage of legislation limiting foreign farmland investment and more with Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND). And then in Segment Four, we talk precision agriculture with Brad Arnold, senior vice president and general manager of AGCO’s Precision Planting.

On Tuesday's AOA, RMA Administrator Marcia Bunger joined us in Segment One to discuss new crop insurance options for specialty crop producers from USDA. Then in Segment Two we get an update on soybean demand, supply and logistics with the VP of Market Intelligence with the United Soybean Board, Mac Marshall. NCBA CEO Colin Woodall joins us in Segment Three to discuss the recent Summer Business Meeting, beef demand and attacks against checkoff programs. Then finally in Segment Four we talk with Dr. Steve Lerner, who is the Senior Scientific and Business Advisor with Chr. Hansen, about heat stress in cattle and the effective use of probiotics.
